Designing and engineering

- Charge Geometry: The geometric shape of shaped charge is carefully designed. The shape and radius of the charge is so made so that maximum convergence of energy and optimum operation is attained when it is being used in scalloped hollow carriers. This entails careful mathematical modeling and simulation of exploding energetic material shape on detonation.

- Detailed Parameters:The size of the hollow carriers is taken care of in its manufacturing. The charge is precisely fitted in the carrier so it can be aligned and perform well. The manufacturing process is tightly controlled in relation to its tolerance so it can give a perfect fit.

Manufacturing process

- Explosive Material Selection: The calibre explosives materials are chosen based on stability and release of energy. The materials go under rigid testing for stringent requirements of functionality and safety. The materials have to be chosen on bases of stability, sensitivity, and detonation velocity.

- Assembly: Shaped charges are constructed in a workshop under controlled environments. Specialized machines are employed for maintaining precision in position of other materials, along with the position of the explosive material. Each of these process steps is followed carefully in an attempt to provide quality.

Quality Control

- Testing Procedure: Testing is stringent in various manufacturing steps. Nondestructive testing is being utilized for determination of internal flaws in the charges. Performance testing is being made, too, in simulated environments for live detonations for power focusing confirming and penetrating power of shaped charges.

- Certification: The shaped chargers of EQF must comply with international functionality and safety requirements. The authorities in each case certify these, which assures an industrial usage satisfaction.

Safety Protocols

- Handling and Storage Procedure: Proper procedure for storage and handling of shaped charges of EQF have been maintained. The operators have been instructed in procedure so as not to inadvertently explode it. Storage facilities have been designed in a way such as not to expose it to extreme temperature, humidity, and other environmental factors, which can have a detrimental effect on stability of the charges.

- Transportation: Shaped charges in transport are encapsulated in protective cases for absorption of shock. The process of transportation is regulated for observance of requirements of safety.
